We offer superior home-cooked evening meals to residents and non residents at £22 for two courses, or £27 for three courses, plus coffee.

Expect hearty portions prepared with respect and love often accompanied by Pete on the grand piano.

All our food is sourced as locally and as ethically as possible. We have a kitchen garden and, in season, regularly serve our own potatoes, onions, spinach, carrots, parsnips, kale, herbs and courgettes. We also grow edible flowers. We source an excellent range of freshly caught fish and meat which is usually slowly and gently roasted or braised to create succulant tender tasty dishes in a traditionally Scottish manner.

We aim to please and (with advance notice) are happy to cater for your dietary needs. Most dishes can for example, be made gluten free.

The Decca is not licensed but you are welcome to bring your own wine or beer and we are happy to provide glasses. We sell a small range of non-alchoholic drinks available to purchase.

  • Evening meals must be booked in advance and we will discuss the menu in advance as we do not generally offer a choice.

Packed lunches

Available at a cost of £8 for two sandwiches, a sweet biscuit or cake, a drink and a piece of fruit. Please try to remember order these the night before so we can be sure to have made plenty of fresh homemade bread for the sandwiches.

Reviews

"Perfect in every way. What a cracking place to stay whilst cycling the Hebridean Way. Louise and Pete were very welcoming of my cousin and I. The room itself was warm, cosy with thick duvets and a jacuzzi bath for sore muscles. Zoe and Elaine, Fife August 2017

"Amazing hospitality! Great room, home made soaps and a comfortable bed. Great food and fabulous hosts! Thoroughly recommend! Stayed with family and enjoyed an evening meal and great music! The breakfast was fantastic too. The communal sitting room was huge and very comfortable". Morgan S August 2017

"Stayed at The Decca this weekend and it was great. Pete & Louise are fantastic hosts. It's not like staying in a hotel and more like staying with friends or family. They have a great laid back manner and allow you to treat their lovely home like it's your own. They are in the most beautiful location, close to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse and a gorgeous little harbour. It's ideally situated for walking, cycling and just generally getting away from everything. I hope I can get back for a visit soon!"Deb,  Belshill, July 2017
